Importing Contacts

Bobby CRM imports CSV files (.csv). You can import:

  • Contacts — people with names, emails, phone numbers, positions
  • Companies — organizations with names, domains, industries
  1. Go to Import in the sidebar
  2. Click Import Contacts or Import Companies
  1. Click Select File and choose your .csv file
  2. Your file must have a header row with column names

Bobby CRM shows your CSV column headers and tries to automatically match them to CRM fields.

For contacts:

CRM FieldAuto-detected column names
First Namefirst_name, firstname, first name, prenom, prénom, voornaam
Last Namelast_name, lastname, last name, nom, achternaam
Emailemail, e-mail, mail
Phonephone, telephone, tel, téléphone, telefoon

For companies:

Phonephone, telephone, tel, téléphone, telefoon

If a column isn’t auto-matched, select the right CRM field from the dropdown. Choose — Skip — to ignore a column.

Review the first 5 rows of mapped data. Make sure the fields look correct before proceeding.

Click Import to start.

After import, you’ll see a summary:

  • Created (green) — successfully imported records
  • Skipped (yellow) — duplicate or empty records
  • Errors (red) — records that failed with error details

Click Import another to start a new import.

  • Prepare your CSV — make sure column headers are clear and data is clean. Remove empty rows.
  • One import at a time — import contacts first, then companies (or vice versa). Bobby CRM doesn’t link contacts to companies during import.
  • Check for duplicates — the import doesn’t check for existing records. If you import the same file twice, you’ll get duplicate entries.
  • Auto-mapping supports 3 languages — column headers in English, French, and Dutch are auto-detected.
