Reading & Sending Emails
Viewing emails
Section titled “Viewing emails”Once your email account is connected and synced, emails appear on the Emails tab of contact, company, and deal detail pages.
Each email shows:
- Sender — name or email address. Outgoing emails show a blue “Sent” badge.
- Subject — bold if unread
- Preview — first part of the email body
- Date — smart formatting: “2:30 PM” for today, “Mon” for this week, “Apr 4” for older
- Attachment icon — if the email has attachments
Read an email
Section titled “Read an email”Click on an email to expand it. The expanded view shows:
- From, To, CC headers
- Full date and time
- Complete email body
- Reply button
Email auto-linking
Section titled “Email auto-linking”Bobby CRM automatically links emails to contacts and companies by matching email addresses:
- If a recipient or sender matches a contact’s email → linked to that contact
- If the contact belongs to a company → also linked to the company
- One email can be linked to multiple contacts and companies
Composing emails
Section titled “Composing emails”- Open a contact, company, or deal
- Go to the Emails tab
- Click Compose
- Fill in the compose form:
- From — select which connected account to send from
- To (required) — recipient email address(es), comma-separated
- CC — optional
- Subject (required)
- Body (required)
- Click Send
The email is sent immediately through your email provider and saved in the CRM.
Replying to emails
Section titled “Replying to emails”- Open an email by clicking on it
- Click Reply
- The compose form opens with:
- To pre-filled with the original sender
- Subject pre-filled with “Re: [original subject]”
- Write your reply and click Send
Replies are threaded — they appear as part of the original email conversation.
Disconnect an email account
Section titled “Disconnect an email account”- Go to Settings > Email Settings
- Under Connected Accounts, find the account
- Click Disconnect
This removes the connection. Previously synced emails remain visible in the CRM but no new emails will be synced.
